R240201: Unable to open RTG Timer database


If you install RTG Timer on a computer without RTG Bills, you may see this error message when you start RTG Timer:

Unable to open RTG Timer database in this location:

No location is shown in the error message.



There are two possible ways to work around this problem:

  1. Install RTG Bills. Uninstall RTG Bills. Install RTG Timer.

  2. Copy the file bills.ini from
    C:\ProgramData\RTG\RTG Bills
    on any computer where RTG Bills is installed, into the same location on the computer where RTG Timer is installed.
