Q: How can I change the Date Opened or Date Closed for a matter?
A: Normally, RTG Bills sets the Date Opened and Date Closed for you. When you first start using RTG Bills, however, the Date Opened will be the date you entered it into RTG Bills, not the actual date you opened the matter. But you can change the Date Opened to the correct date.
Use File > Update to install Change Matter Dates, a free update. Start RTG Bills and choose:
File > Tools > Change Matter Dates
At the Change Matter Dates window, type a matter number, then press Enter or Tab. If the matter is found, you can change the Date Opened. If the matter is closed, you can also change the Date Closed. Click Change to update the matter.
