Q: Can a retainer account be used for more than one matter?

A: Yes, if the matters belong to the same client. This feature was added in RTG Bills Version 2.07. We call this a client-level retainer.

When you create a new retainer account, you can choose whether it will be a matter-level account or a client-level account.

As with a matter-level account, the retainer can be applied either manually (by you) or automatically (by RTG Bills). For more about automatic retainers, click here.
