RTG Adds Features To Time And Billing SoftwareSanta Monica, California; June 10, 2003 -- RTG has announced a new release of RTG Bills, its low-cost time and billing software for Windows. This release of RTG Bills contains several new features. Client reminders can be sent to clients with a past-due balance, and the firm can set the number of days overdue that will trigger a reminder. Another new feature is the addition of a practice area for each matter. The firm can create its own list of practice areas and RTG Bills will print reports to show, for example, fee totals by practice area. RTG Timer, a companion product that is included with RTG Bills, has also been enhanced. RTG Timer includes a stopwatch for timing work. The elapsed time now appears on the Windows taskbar, so you can check the time even when the program is minimized. For remote operation, a single file from RTG Bills is used to update RTG Timer with the latest clients, matters, timekeepers, and codes. Using a single file makes it easy to send the updated information to a remote user as an e-mail attachment. Other new features in this release include optional rounding of hours up to the next tenth, synchronization of client names and addresses with Microsoft Outlook, and the ability to search for text in a report. RTG Bills and RTG Timer cost $95, which includes one license for RTG Timer. RTG's Web site offers free upgrades from the previous release. RTG Bills is designed for law firms and sole practitioners. It combines the ease-of-use of Windows with the power and reliability of a relational database. RTG Timer, included with RTG Bills, uses a computerized "stopwatch" so that attorneys can time their work as they perform it. RTG Timer can communicate with RTG Bills over a network, or it can be used independently on a notebook computer or a home PC. Related products include RTG Timer HE for fee and expense entry on a Palm OS device, RTG Timer ME for fee and expense entry on a Windows Mobile or Pocket PC device, RTG E-Bills for the creation of electronic bills, and RTG Scripts for automating tasks in RTG Bills.
