Error opening database: not found

Q: When I start RTG Bills or RTG Timer I get an error message that says Error opening database followed by the name of the database (e.g., C:\Program Files\Rtgbills\Rtgbills.mdb), followed by Could not find file '. . . Rtgbills.mdb'.

A: Check if the database file is in the proper place. When you install RTG Bills, both the program (Rtgbills.exe) and the database (Rtgbills.mdb) should be in the same directory. The default during installation is C:\Rtgbills for Version 1 and C:\Program Files\Rtgbills for Version 2, but you might have specified a different directory during the installation.

Similarly for RTG Timer, both the program (Rtgtimer.exe) and the database (Rtgtimer.mdb) should be in the same directory. Again the default during installation is C:\Rtgbills for Version 1 and C:\Program Files\Rtgbills for Version 2, but you might have specified a different directory.
