New RTG Backup and RTG Restore
We've found a few more problems with the backup and restore features in RTG Bills and RTG Timer. Be sure to download new versions of RTG Backup and RTG Restore to ensure reliable backups.

New RTG Backup
RTG Bills and RTG Timer may crash during backups on some Windows XP and Windows 2000 systems. You can download a new version of RTG Backup to fix the problem.

New RTG Bills and RTG Timer
RTG Bills Version 2.05 was released at the start of the month, with many new features. Read about it here and download the free upgrade.

Unfortunately, RTG Timer Version 2.05 has a problem which affects the transfer of data to RTG Bills. The problem is fixed in Version 2.06, and a free upgrade is available.

Improved slide shows
We've changed our slide shows from self-running to self-paced. Two new slide shows demonstrate features of the soon-to-be-released RTG Bills Version 2.05. You can read more about the slide shows in the September issue of RTG News.

New RTG Bills
RTG Bills Version 2.04 is available, with several new features. Read about it here.

Slide shows
We've developed software to present brief, self-running slide shows in your Web browser. The first two presentations are designed to highlight some of the new features in RTG Bills Version 2.04. Click here to see them.

New product: RTG E-Bills
Now you can prepare electronic bills for your clients with RTG E-Bills. It creates bills in disk files using the special formats required by some clients.

New RTG Reports
We've added even more reports to RTG Reports: Expenses Billed and Collected, Unbilled Fees and Expenses by Timekeeper, and Hours Reported by Timekeeper. There are now 15 reports, all for free. Just download RTG Reports and choose Reports, More Reports in RTG Bills.

New RTG Names
A new version of RTG Names is available. It can store names and addresses as well as phone numbers and e-mail addresses. It synchronizes with RTG Bills, so you can make changes in RTG Bills and easily keep multiple copies of RTG Names up-to-date. A new feature lets you dial a phone number. RTG Names is still available free if you download it.

New product: RTG Timer HE
RTG Timer HE, the Palm organizer version of RTG Timer, is now available. You'll find complete details, including a free demo, here.

New RTG Bills and RTG Reports
RTG Bills Version 2.03 is available, with several new features requested by our users. You can read about it here.

We've also added two new reports to RTG Reports: Bills by Matter and Summary of Unpaid Fees and Expenses.

Data files
We've added a list of the data files used by RTG Bills and RTG Timer. You'll find it here.

Revised What's New
The What's New page was getting too long, so we put the older information on a second page.

New RTG Bills
RTG Bills Version 2.02 is available. We've added compatibility with RTG E-Bills and RTG Timer HE for the Palm organizer, two new products that will be available soon. Read about the new version here. You can download a free upgrade from V2.01 to V2.02.

RTG Bills Version 2
Check your spelling! Version 2.01 of RTG Bills and RTG Timer includes a spell checker. You can read about the new version in RTG News.

New Web host
The RTG Web site has moved to a new physical location. The address in cyberspace is still the same: www.rtgsoftware.com.

Automated RTG News reminders
The RTG News reminder list is now completely automated. If you want to receive an e-mail reminder when RTG News is published (every other month), go to the RTG News page to add your e-mail address to the reminder list. You can also unsubscribe from the list. If your e-mail address changes, just unsubscribe with the old e-mail address and join with the new one.

New RTG Bills
Version 1.25 of RTG Bills and RTG Timer is now available. The upgrade from Version 1.24 is free. A small roundoff error was discovered in RTG Bills, and this version eliminates that problem.

New RTG Reports
RTG Reports has been improved once again. We've added an Activity Summary by Matter so you can see the total hours, fees, and expenses for each activity code.

RTG Bills Lookup
Do clients sometimes send you a payment that shows the bill number instead of the matter number? RTG Bills Lookup lets you enter the bill number and then displays the matter number, bill date, client name, and matter name. It's free and you can download it here.

New RTG Bills and RTG Reports
Version 1.23 of RTG Bills and RTG Timer was introduced early in March. Unfortunately, it had some problems, which have been corrected in Version 1.24. Both upgrades are free.

The latest version of RTG Reports, a free add-on to RTG Bills, includes four new reports. Matter Fees by Month summarizes hours and fees by month for each matter. Similarly, Timekeeper Fees by Month summarizes hours and fees by month for each timekeeper. Two more reports generate data in a format which spreadsheet programs can read.

RTG Copy
RTG Copy is a simple program that can copy the RTG Bills and RTG Timer installation file to two floppy disks. Use it to move the installation file to another computer or just to make a backup copy.
