A Client Cover Page summarizes the bills that have been printed for a client. Format 247 shows the amounts due for each matter and the total due for the client.

In RTG Bills Version 2.08 and below, the late charges shown for each matter on the Client Cover Page are incorrect. Instead of the late charges, the expenses from the previous line are repeated. The totals, however, for both the matters and the client, are correct.

This problem affects RTG Bills Version 2.08 and below.

Only the "amounts due" Client Cover Page (format 247) is affected. The "new charges" Client Cover Page (format 246) is correct.

Upgrade 110 fixes this problem by fixing the program, Layout2.exe, that creates the cover page format. The solution has two steps: First you need to apply the upgrade to fix the program, then you need to save a corrected cover page format.

You must have RTG Bills Version 2.08 to apply this upgrade. A better alternative is to upgrade to the current version of RTG Bills.

Connect to the Internet, start RTG Bills and choose File > Upgrade from the menu. Click Yes to exit RTG Bills and start RTG Upgrade. Click the Check The Internet For Upgrades button. Click upgrade 110 to put a checkmark next to it. Click the Install button. When the upgrade is complete, choose OK, Close, and Close.

After the upgrade is applied, start RTG Bills and choose Setup > Bill Formats from the menu. Click on 247 Client Cover Page to select it, then click Edit. You should see a window with the title, Edit The Client Cover Page That Shows Amounts Due. Click the Save button. This saves a new, corrected cover page format on the disk. Click Close to exit.
